Murat Zhurinov was appointed as non-staff science advisor to the Prime-Minister of RK (Republic of Kazakhstan).
M. Zhurinov was born in 1941, and is a Doctor of Science in chemistry, Professor, and member of the NAS RK (National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan). He is a member of the Council of Nationalities under the President of RK; he is Vice-President of AN (Association of Nationalities) of OIC (Organization of Islamic Conference) countries, and a member of the national committee of RK on issues related to UNESCO.
Since October 2003, Zhurinov has been the President of NAS RK.


 Serikzhan Kanaev was appointed as the head of Department of State Control and Organizational Work of the Administration of the President of RK.
S.Z.Kanaev was born in 1953. During the period between 1999 and 2000 he was head of the Personnel Department and Special Work of the Ministry of Healthcare, Education and Sport of RK. During the period 2000–2005 he was deputy to the director and then director of the Administrative Department, and head of the apparatus of the Ministry of Education and Science. From July 2005 until February 2006 he was head of the central apparatus of the republican political party “Otan”. Since February 2006 until the present he has been deputy to the akim of Karagandinskaya oblast on issues of internal policy and social sphere.


 Anar Meshimbaeva was dismissed from the position of head of the Socio-Economic Analysis Department of the Administration of the President of RK due to moving to another position.


 Askar Shomanov was assigned as the head of the Socio-Economic Analysis Department of the Administration of the President of RK.


 Nurlan Omarov, akim of Semipalatinsk, who has been akim twice (during 2000-2001 and 2003–2007) submitted his resignation due to moving to another position. Meyramkhat Karibekovich Aynabekov was assigned as the new akim if the city. Before this appointment, Aynabekov was the chairman of the board of directors of “Kazpoligraf” Ltd in Semipalatinsk.


 There is a new akim in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The position was taken by Shakaram Buktugutov, who previously was the head of Anti-monopoly Department in Eastern Kazakhstan oblast of the Committee on Protection of Competition of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of RK.
Since September 2006, the position of akim of Ust-Kamenogorsk had been held by Manarbek Sapargaliev.


 Anatoliy Smolin was elected to the post of chairman of the Supervision Panel of the Supreme Court of RK.
A. Smolin was born in 1959 and graduated from the Sverdlovsk Law Institute in 1986. He has worked as a judge, chairman of the People’s Court of the Red Army region in Kokchetavskaya oblast, chairman of the regional court in Tayinshin in the Northern Kazakhstan oblast, and chairman of the Judicial Panel on Criminal Cases in the same oblast. Since June 2002, he has been a judge in the Supreme Court of RK.


 Yelis Abdykadyrov and Zeynolla Makashev were elected as judges of the Supreme Court.
Abdykadyrov was born in 1961, and graduated from KazSU. Since 2002, he has been the chairman of the Panel on Civil Cases of the Military Court of RK.
Makashev was born in 1950, and graduated from the Saratov Law Institute. Since 2004, he has been the chairman of the Committee on Judicial Administration under the Supreme Court of RK.


 The Agency of Financial Control appointed Nurzhan Kuramanbekovich Abdymomunov as the deputy chairman of JSC “Kazpost”.


 The head of the state municipal company “Almatyzher” was replaced. Beybitkhan Kabdrakhmanov has taken the position until the contest for the position is made. Kabdrakhmanov, who previously was general director of the municipal state company “Kvartirnoe byuro” under the akimat of Astana, replaced Bakytzhan Zhulamanov, who had been the head of “Almatyzher” since September 2005.


 Askar Anabiev was elected to the post of president of JSC ICKE CAT Company (Kazakhstan). He replaced Bitimbaev on this position.


 R.M. Sagdieva was elected to the post of chairlady of the managing committee of JSC “Mercury”.
 R.Z. Slambekova was dismissed as a member of the managing committee of JSC “Amanat Insurance” (Kazakhstan).


 Zhumabay Karagaev was selected as chairman of the board of directors of JSC SKY SILK (Kazakhstan).


 Vladimir Romensky was appointed to act as the general director of “Vim-Avia”; previously he was the first deputy of the general director, supervising production and the commercial activity of the company.
Roman Pakhomov, the previous general director of “Aviacompany Vim-Avia” Ltd, was offered the position of vice-president in the “Vim-Avia” group of companies within the framework of personnel rotation.
V. Romensky was born in 1955, and graduated from the Flying-Technical Collage of Civil Aviation in Omsk and the Highest Military Aviation College in Aktyubinsk with the profession of “engineer-pilot”. He has held key positions in aviation companies in both Kazakhstan and Russia. Before moving to “Vim-Avia”, he was head of the production department of the Federal Agency of Air Transport (Rosaviacia).


 The Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation Plc (ENRC), a diversified group of companies that includes firms in both the metallurgic and mining industries, announced that Miguel Perri has been appointed to the position of financial director.
Between 1999 and 2006, Miguel Perri worked as a partner in the Swiss office of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He acted as a consultant for leading international corporations on a wide range of issues, including the introduction of the international system of financial reporting and compliance with international standards of corporate governance. During the period 1993-1999, Perri worked in the Russian office of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. There he was responsible for auditing the financial reports of several leading Russian mining companies.


 Nurali Aliev was appointed to the post of first deputy to the chairman of the managing committee of JSC “Nurbank”. The statement that Nurali Aliev had resigned from the board of directors was announced at the general meeting of shareholders of JSC “Nurbank”. As a result, Igor Egarmin was elected to the board of directors.


 The shareholders of the joint venture JSC “London-Almaty Insurance Company” (Kazakhstan) decided to change its name to JSC “Daughter Company of JSC TuranAlem Bank joint venture London-Almaty Insurance Company”.
The shareholders of JSC “TuranAlem Bank” decided to dismiss Zhaksylyk Zharimbetov from the board of directors and elected Yerkin Tatishev to the board of directors.


 Evgeniy Borisovich Prilepskiy was appointed to the position of deputy chairman of the managing committee of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and managing director of investment activity.
He was born in 1963. In 1989 he graduated from MSU (Moscow State University). Between 1996 and 1998 he studied at the Harvard Business School in Boston, receiving an MBA degree. During the period 1989-1992, he was first deputy to the general director of “Temp-Innotech” in Moscow. Between 1992 and 1996, he was leader of the group working on Central and Eastern Europe in “ITC Financial Advisors” in Washington. During 1998–2000 he was deputy to the head of the Developing Markets Department, working on structural financing, in “Merrill Lynch International”. He was responsible for projects in Southern, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in the CIS. During 2000–2002 he was an owner and partner of “Finsbury Partners LLC”, an innovation fund in London. Between 2002 and 2007, he worked for the EDB.


 DIRECTOR OF MARKETING DEPARTMENT (Bank)
Higher education; at least 3 years experience in marketing, at least 1 year management experience; work experience in banking is an advantage; knowledge of marketing tools, methods of market research; excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to lead and motivate subordinates; leadership ability.
 
 DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE LEGAL DIVISION (Bank)
University degree in Law (LLM degree is an advantage); work experience with international law firms or commercial/investment bank; fluent English; at least 5 years professional experience, at least 2 years experience in banking law.


 HEAD OF OPERATIONS DIVISION (Bank)
University degree in Economics/Finance; at least 3 years working experience in commercial banks in a position of Head of Operations Division/Department; knowledge of financial, international and currency legislation of Kazakhstan, international standards of banking and financial reporting, state standards of banking; fluent English.


 MEDIA PLANNER (Advertising Agency)
Higher education (Technical/Mathematics); knowledge of TNS Gallup Media Asia software (Palomars, Adex, TV Planet, Super Nova), MS Office; at least 1 year experience in media planning; experience in development and conducting media presentations; knowledge of English is an advantage.


 HR MANAGER
Higher education; at least 3 years experience in human resource management; skills in development of HR strategies and policies, knowledge of HR procedures and labor law; fluent in English; strong interpersonal and communication skills, leadership abilities.
